Maker Break: Block Carving & Printing Workshop

Participants will learn techniques involved in the carving of woodblocks as well as the art of printing.

FREE, age 8+

MAKER BREAK is a free community makerspace program that will provide research-based, creative, and professional programming for children and young adults in the Sheboygan Area during breaks in the school calendar. Participants will have opportunities to:

1. Engage in the creative process through facilitated workshops and self-directed making in both professional studios and portable, pop-up spaces.

2. Develop technical skills necessary to create in different forms including fine arts, engineering, media, education, and more, and the habits necessary for critical problem-solving, divergent thinking, and resilience.

3. Join a diverse community of practice with opportunities for long-term leadership development, professional mentorship, and youth venture development.
