Isaiah Zagar is a mosaic mural artist whose work is heavily influenced by his travels and the personal connections he has made with international folk and visionary artists. He completed three years of Peace Corps service in Peru in the mid-1960s working with folk artists in the Puno region near Lake Titicaca. His work is held in the collections of Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.

Zagar’s public mural works can be found at Phoenix Convention Center, Watkins Street Warehouse (PA), Philadelphia Magic Gardens, Hirshhorn Museum (DC), Painted Bride Art Center (PA), and Germantown Academy (PA). They can also be seen in Racine, WI; Alameda, CA; and San Luis Potosi (Mexico), among other locations. He has received grants from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Pew Charitable Trusts. Zagar has attended artist residencies in Tianjin, China, and Rajasthan, India. Zagar received his BFA in painting and graphics at the Pratt Institute of Art (NY).
