Merrill Mason

Merrill Mason works in multiple media including photography, textiles, and poetry. During her time as an artist-in-residence at the John Michael Kohler Arts Center’s Arts/Industry at Kohler Co. (WI), Merrill worked in both the foundry and the pottery factories to create a women’s washroom for the John Michael Kohler Art Center.
Merrill lives in Philadelphia. She studied at Yale and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and is museum director emerita at the American Philosophical Society (APS) in Philadelphia.
