Christopher Davis-Benavides explores cross-cultural issues with his work. His sculptures reflect the theme of the hero myth in Spain and Latin America. Davis-Benavides actively participates in solo and group exhibitions nationally and internationally. His exhibitions include El Patrón Santiago: cuentos y colaboraciones, ICPNA Gallery, Miraflores Lima, Peru; Reflejos in College, Milwaukee; and La Generación del ochenta: años de las violence, Peruanonorteamericano Cultural Center, Lima, Peru.

Davis-Benavides holds a MA from University of Wisconsin, Madison, and is professor emeritus of ceramics at Peck School of the Arts at University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee.
