Quasius is a Sheboygan, Wisconsin, native. She lived and worked in New York City during the 1980s and was known for her large sewn canvas recreations of famous paintings. Quasius now works in cast metals and has commissions and works in progress. Her artwork has been purchased by museums and private collectors.

During one of her four residencies with the John Michael Kohler Arts Center’s Arts/Industry at Kohler Co., in 1997, Quasius was commissioned by the Stephanie H. Weill Charitable Fund Inc. to create sixteen brass panels for downtown Sheboygan’s clock tower at the Mead Library. The four-foot by four-foot panels feature imagery relating to science and technology, literature, arts and culture, and world history.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in art from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, and a MFA from the University of Oklahoma.
