Sam Barsky

Sam Barsky began knitting in 1999 after being diagnosed with a chronic illness. Since then, he has knitted over 150 sweaters. The sweaters feature extensively in Barsky’s travels, and he has achieved internet fame by posting photos of himself wearing them in front of the landmarks they depict. He doesn’t use any patterns; instead, he freehands his designs as he works. He lives in Baltimore, MD, with his wife.
