A songwriter at heart, Ford has been crafting songs since childhood, long before receiving her first guitar on her fifteenth birthday. Stockpiling and storing songs for much of her life, her very first show contained four hours of original songs without a single repeat. Countless hours playing guitar alone led Amelia to develop a percussive style of strumming that brings an unexpected energy to her solo shows. Along with her effortless vocals, you’ll find lyrics that paint the picture of her life, and her intimate storytelling will invite you in.
Amelia’s first full-length album, ‘Wide Wide Open,’ released in February 2022, is a lyrical storybook of discovering yourself in the tattered pieces of your former life.
Her album release accompanied many other firsts for Amelia in 2022, including playing her first shows at Mile of Music in Appleton, Wisconsin, and Summerfest in Milwaukee. She also obtained her first regular airplay on radio stations including 91.1 The Avenue, and 105.7 WAPL.
