B.J. Best

B.J. Best is a poet, writer, interactive fiction creator, game designer, artist, and musician. He has published three books and five chapbooks of poetry, most recently Everything about Breathing (Bent Paddle Press). He made and curates the @ArtyBots family of art-generating Twitter bots. His interactive fiction, And Then You Come to a House Not Unlike the Previous One, won the 2021 Interactive Fiction Competition. He published Space Cactus Canyon, a video game for the Atari 2600, in 2017. He teaches at Carroll University in Waukesha, Wisconsin, and lives in the Wisconsin countryside with his wife, son, their cats, and the occasional salamander in their basement.
