Ana Busto
Arts/Industry: Foundry, 1995
Ana Busto is a multimedia artist born in Bilbao, Spain, and living between Brooklyn, New York, and Cummington, Massachusetts. She is driven by both an interest in formal experimentation and the desire to work with what she refers to as “the underdog.” Her desire is to elevate the discourse around marginalized groups and place it in direct confrontation with the art world.
Busto has exhibited in Spain, Germany, Paris, Sao Paulo, Lima, Mexico City, and New York City. She was codirector of Ventana244 art space in Williamsburg for five years. Ana has a BA in education, from Universidad Autonoma de Barcelona, four years of journalism studies at Universidad Autonoma de Barcelona; and a Master’s in interactive telecommunications from New York University.
