Phoebe Cummings

Hailing from the UK, Phoebe Cummings received her MA from the Royal College of Art in London and her BA in Three-Dimensional Crafts from the University of Brighton in the UK. She was awarded an Honorary Doctorate from the University of Brighton in 2019. She has participated in artist residencies at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, I-Park in Connecticut, and the Upernavik Museum in Greenland. Her work has shown at the Victoria and Albert Museum, the National Museum of Wales, Galway Arts Center (Ireland), and the Visual Arts Center, Montreal.
Cummings describes her work as an investigation of the psychological space of objects and their surroundings. During her Arts/Industry residency, Cummings utilized the industrial facilities to create large components to increase the size of her site-specific installations.
