Eddie Dominguez

Eddie Dominguez utilizes ceramics, metal, canvas, glass, concrete, and paper to explore cultural and social issues such as ethnicity, political tension, and gender. Dominguez received his BFA from Cleveland Art Institute and MFA from New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University. He was the recipient of two National Endowment for the Arts grants and has attended several artists-in-residence programs, including the University of Montana in Missoula and the Cleveland Institute of Art. Dominguez has lectured and conducted workshops at Anderson Ranch (CO); Tamarind Institute (NM); Haystack Mountain School (ME); Greenwich House Pottery (NY); Rhode Island School of Design; Bennington College (VT); and Cranbrook Academy of Art (MI). His work is held in public collections, including the ceramic tile murals at Massachusetts General Hospital, the Martin Luther King Building (AZ), and the Phoenix International Airport.

Dominguez’s museum exhibitions include Louisiana State University, Bellevue Museum of Art (WA), Massachusetts College of Art, Depauw University (IN), Contemporary Craft Center (OR), Lannan Museum (FL), Cedar Rapids Museum of Art, Santa Fe Community College, New Mexico Museum of Fine Arts, and the New Orleans Museum of Art. He is currently an assistant professor of ceramics at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
