Carol Emmons

Carol Emmons is an installation artist specializing in large-scale site-specific work. She has exhibited at the Chicago Cultural Center, Museum of Contemporary Art, Houston, TX; Orange County Center for Contemporary Art, Santa Ana, CA; SPACES, Cleveland, OH; Raum 1, Düsseldorf, Germany; Newhouse Center for Contemporary Art, New York, NY; Philadelphia Arts Alliance, Philadelphia, PA; Elba Gastatelier, Netherlands; Carnegie Arts Center, Cincinnati, OH; and Vanderbilt University, Nasville, TN; among others. Wisconsin solo exhibition venues include the Madison Art Center, Walker’s Point Center for the Arts, John Michael Kohler Arts Center, and Wisconsin Academy.
Emmons was granted two Wisconsin Arts Board Fellowships (for Sculpture and Inter-Arts), and the Wisconsin Arts Board Percent for Art commission (with architect Paul Emmons) for the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s School of Architecture. She received her MFA from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and is currently Frankenthal Professor in the Arts and Visual Design at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.
