Lauren Grossman

Lauren Grossman works in a variety of media, from porcelain to cast iron to insect-encrusted fiberglass. Her provocative installations and objects wrestle with the ever-shifting meanings of Judeo/Christian imagery in contemporary culture.
Grossman’s work has been exhibited at Platform Gallery (WA), Howard House Gallery (WA), Fairbanks Gallery (OR), Esther Claypool Gallery (WA), Kendall College of Art and Design (MI), Cornish College of the Arts (WA), Allied Arts Gallery (WA), Tacoma Art Museum (WA), The Clay Studio (PA), Chicago Cultural Center (IL), and Crocker Art Museum (CA), among others. Her work is in the collection of Florida Atlantic University Library, City Light Collection, Arizona State University Museum, Microsoft Inc., Pilchuck Glass School, and the Tacoma Art Museum, among others.
Grossman received her BFA in ceramics from University of Washington, Seattle. She studied at University of Arizona, Tucson, and Washington University, St. Louis.
