Maki Hajikano

Maki Hajikano has exhibited at Viridian Artists (NY), Fine Art Gallery (NY), 621 Gallery (FL), International Gallery of Contemporary Art (AK), Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts (MI), Tacoma Contemporary (WA), Site: Brooklyn Gallery (NY), CICA Museum (Korea), Manifest Gallery (OH), Northern Illinois University Art Museum (IL), and Viridian Artists (NY), among others. Hajikano has received the Pollock Krasner Foundation Grant and numerous Faculty Research Development Grants from Austin State University. She has been an artist in residence at Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts (NE), Arts/Industry at Kohler Co., Vermont Studio Center, and Pilchuck Glass School (WA).
Her work has been reviewed in Daily Sentinel, Annarbor.com, Dayton City Paper, Honolulu Weekly, Min Sheng Daily, and New Art Examiner. Her work is in the collection of William P Hobby Airport Public Artwork Permanent Collection, Early Childhood Research Center (TX), Kohler Co. (WI), and John Michael Kohler Arts Center (WI). Hajikano has an MFA in sculpture from University of Oregon.
