Jesse Garcia
Jesse Garcia is an independent artist from the Northwest suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. Music has held her heart for as long as she can remember. At the age of twelve, she learned to play the guitar and she began songwriting at age fifteen. During her senior year of high school, Jesse began performing at open mics in Chicago. Soon after, she challenged herself to create her own EP, “Nota A Si Mismo”.
Influenced by her chicana identity, Jesse has combined latin ballads, reggaeton, and R&B with original lyrics to create her own unique style of Latin R&B music. Throughout her journey as a musician she has been inspired by artists such as Ricardo Arjona, Natalia Lafourcade, J.Cole, and SZA. In 2018 and 2019, Jess(e) performed in ‘Mexico en el Corazon’ at Millenium Park – an event gathering thousands of people each year. She has also performed in ‘Sabor de Mexico’ at The Taste of Melrose Park.
“Nota A Si Mismo”, Jesse’s homemade EP, was released in 2017 on Soundcloud. Presently, Jesse is celebrating the release of CENIT, an EP of seven songs, with already more than 4,000 streams.
