Gregory Kline
Arts/Industry: Foundry, 2000
Gregory Kline’s artistic practice includes making and collecting objects, metal casting, and assemblage sculpture. His work reflects an interest in found materials and a reaction to them. This reaction or manipulation typically attempts to alter perception of the object’s original function, identity, or to change its context entirely.
Kline was an artist-in-residence at the John Michael Kohler Arts Center’s Arts/Industry at Kohler Co. (WI). He served as a judge for the John Michael Kohler Arts Center’s Thirtieth Annual Outdoor Arts Festival in July 2000.
Kline received his BFA in sculpture from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and an MFA in sculpture from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
