Clara McElfresh
Clara McElfresh is a rising sophomore at New York University. She is studying drama at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts as well as public policy through the Wagner School of Public Service. She grew up in Milwaukee and is proud to call Wisconsin home. She has been involved in the arts for her entire life, singing and playing violin and piano from an early age.
In middle and high school, she became involved in drama and musical theater and performed in both school and community productions, including roles as Sophie in Mamma Mia!, the Fairy Godmother in Cinderella, Helena in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Olivia in Twelfth Night, among others She competed in the Utah Shakespeare Festival with First Stage’s Young Company, where the troupe won first place for ensemble scene. She also performed with Kate Baldwin, a fellow Wisconsin native, at the Skylight Theatre in Milwaukee.
McElfresh loves singing, songwriting, and performing, and is honored and excited to share her song about the work of Levi Fisher Ames. As an artist, she strives to make meaningful connections through her work and hopes it inspires others to connect with something they love.
