Yolanda Macias McKay’s artistic practice focuses on visually seducing the viewer. Beyond the idea of beauty to which we are all attracted lies a hope that art can speak interest in terms of ideas, interactions, and dialogue.

McKay’s work has been exhibited at Richard Heller Gallery (CA) and at John Michael Kohler Arts Center (WI). She has been an artist-in-residence at the John Michael Kohler Arts Center’s Arts/Industry at Kohler Co. (WI). McKay’s work is in the collection of Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive.

She earned an MFA from California State University, Fullerton and a BA from California State University, Pomona. Macias is currently a sculpture and drawing instructor at Pasadena City College.
