Wayne Montecalvo works with image, process, and a variety of materials to push the confines of art making to reinvent, rather than reproduce, an image. Montecalvo has attended artist-in-residence programs at Awagami Paper Factory (Japan), Vermont Studio Center, Frans Masereel Zentrum voor Grafiek (Belgium), Arts/Industry at Kohler Co. (WI), and New York State Council on the Arts. Montecalvo has exhibited his work at Kingston Artist’s Collective (NY), TSL (NY), Studio 375 (NY), Awagami Paper Factory (Japan), C H R C H Project Space (NY), Elisa Pritzker Gallery (NY), Lockwood Gallery (NY), Julie Heller Gallery (MA), Samuel Dorsky Art Museum (NY), Torpedo Factory (VA), and Kingston Museum of Contemporary Art (NY), among others.
