Xan Palay

Xan Palay creates interactive and participatory artworks using a variety of media, including sculpture, sound, video, installation art, and fiber. Palay has been an artist-in-residence at the Contemporary Artist’s Center (MA), Yaddo colony (NY), and has been a visiting artist at The Ohio State University, Hasting College, Aichi University of Education (Japan), Tokyo Gallery Art Institiute, and at the Forest of Creation (Japan).

Her work has been exhibited at the Columbus Museum of Art, the Springfield Museum of Art, the Ingenuity Festival (OH), the Melbourne International Arts Festival, SPACES Gallery (OH), and the Kingston Biennial (NY). She was awarded an artists project grant from the Ohio Arts Council, as well as a grant from the George Sugarman Foundation. Her work was featured on NPR’s All Things Considered in June 2006.
