Victoria Reed received her BFA in sculpture and printmaking from the University of Northern Iowa in 2010, and her MFA in sculpture from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in May 2016.
Her works are figurative, painterly, and experimental, focusing heavily on the integral qualities of the material she is using at the moment as a subtle means to convey emotions and fragmented or temporal ideas.
Much of her past work is aluminum and stainless steel fabrication, and Reed has large-scale work permanently located at many outdoor sites including Blue Springs, Missouri; Cedar Falls, Decorah, and Coralville, Iowa; Kansas City, Missouri; and Cary, North Carolina. She has participated in numerous indoor exhibitions as well, primarily in the Midwest where she is a lifelong resident.
