Sandy Skogund

Sandy Skoglund is a conceptual artist, dealing with repetitive and process-oriented art production through the techniques of mark-making and photocopying. She has exhibited at Paci Contemporary S.r.l (Italy), Ooh Gallery San Fermo Maggiore (Italy), Fay Gold Gallery (GA), Rue Gallery (CO), McNay Museum of Art (TX), Fotografiska Museum (Sweeden), Denver Art Museum, Palm Springs Desert Museum (CA), The Wadsworth Atheneum (CT), and Centre Georges Pompidou (France), among others. Skoglund has lectured at the Nebraska Art Education Association, New York Film Academy, University of Denver, Vermont Art Education Association, and Museum of Fine Arts Houston, among others.
Her work is held in the collection of Akron Art Museum, Baltimore Museum of Art, Boise Gallery of Art, Brooklyn Museum of Art, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Museum of Contemporary Arts and Design, Walker Art Center, and Whitney Museum of American Art, among others. Skoglund studied studio art and art history at Smith College. She received an MA in filmmaking, intaglio printmaking, and multimedia art, and an MFA in painting.
