John Snyder

John Snyder has worked in Minnesota, North Carolina, and Iowa. Among some of the influences on his art are American folk art and the work of self-taught artists.
Snyder has shown his work at the North Dakota Museum of Art, Grand Forks;, the Asheville Art Museum, North Carolina; Carl Hammer Gallery, Chicago, Illinois; and the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art, Iowa. He was the recipient of grants and awards from the Minnesota State Arts Board, the McKnight Foundation, and the Bush Foundation.
He holds a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
