Kristin Thielking

Kristin Thielking works in a wide range of materials, from glass to cast iron, to explore concepts relating to language, identity, place, and the human condition. She has exhibited her work at Peninsula School of Art (WI), University of Wisconsin, Mabee-Gerrer Museum of Art (OK), Gail Art Museum (Korea), Madison Museum of Contemporary Art (WI), Bullseye Gallery (OR), and Atrium Gallery (NY), among others. Thielking has received the creative Dissemination Grant, a University Professional Development Grant from University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, and a Joan Mitchell Foundation Grant Nomination.
She has been in residence at Edenfred Artist Residency (WI), Arts/Industry at Kohler Co. (WI), Vermont Studio Center, and University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her work is held in the collection of Bank of Wausau (WI), Commonwealth Development (WI), and University of Indianapolis (IA), among others.
