Christina Wilke-Burbach
Christina Wilke-Burbach has a plethora of interests in the realms of art, nature, psychology, and spirituality and tries to weave them all together. She is the host of the podcast Garden Goth, a Master Gardener, herbalist, certified aromatherapist, gardening instructor, project chair of the indoor gardens at John Michael Kohler Arts Center, member of the American Botanical Council, and member of the American Herbalist Guild. She has a PhD in health psychology, master’s degree in clinical psychology, a bachelor’s degree in psychology, a bachelor’s degree in cultural anthropology, a minor in sociology, is a high priestess in training, a Reiki master teacher, and is trained in transpersonal psychology, having studied with Stan Grof MD, PhD-the founder of the field. She is a self-taught botanical artist, botanical perfumer, nature photographer, abstract painter, and acrylic artist.
Her art explores duality, divination, banefulness, synesthesia, light and shadow, color shifts, glow in the dark, and black light. She believes powerful methods of psychological, emotional, and spiritual healing are largely nonverbal… art, music, and dance. The language of the soul/psyche is symbols, images, colors, vibrations, feelings, and patterns; we communicate this without words. Art, music, and dance are gateways to the unconsciousness and can facilitate deep healing, self-awareness, and transcendence.
