Dr. Choua P. Xiong
Dr. Choua P. Xiong is a HMoob refugee who grew up in the Fox Valley in Wisconsin. Funded by multiple national foundations, her research focuses on how minoritized youth and their communities teach and learn about themselves and Indigenous worldviews. Xiong is an assistant professor at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh where she teaches courses on education and HMong studies theory and research. Her most recent curation is the Suitcase from Niam: Khoom Phij Cuam exhibition at the Paine Art Center and Gardens.
