Social STUDIO

The Social STUDIO is a place for all visitors to continue exploring the current theme and exhibitions at the Arts Center and the collection on view at the Art Preserve.

This engaging, light-filled space is always free. It is open the same hours as the Arts Center. Social STUDIO is located directly to the left once you enter the front doors of the Arts Center. Drop in anytime during your visit.

Creative opportunities in the Social STUDIO offer you a chance to deepen your connection with the exhibitions and your own creativity. The majority of the art making in the Social STUDIO are collaborative. Each visitor adds on to what someone has started or creates a new piece to be added to a larger project. The projects change as the exhibitions change or as supplies last, so please reach out for more information on what is current.

We get “hands on” with the JMKAC mission of generating a creative exchange between artists and the public. Several times a year, artists are brought in to meet face-to-face with the public. Make sure you do not miss an opportunity to connect with an artist by following JMKAC on Facebook and signing up for the weekly email newsletter.

Everyone is welcome; artists 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
