Join exhibiting artists Sahar Khoury, Martha Poggioli, and Edra Soto as well as Arts Center curators for a walk through of Clocking In: 2024 Arts/Industry Residents. While exploring the exhibition, we will learn more about the artists’ ideas and processes, and gain a deeper understanding of the works on view.
As part of the Arts Center’s celebration of the Arts/Industry residency program’s fiftieth anniversary, the twelve artists-in-residence at the Kohler Co. factory during 2024 are exhibiting their work over the course of this yearlong group exhibition. Clocking In: 2024 Arts/Industry Residents presents four residents’ work at a time, in “shifts” of approximately four months each.
In alignment with the Arts Center’s current theme, Work In Progress, the exhibition will remain open during the shift rotations of artwork. This allows gallery visitors to see some of the labor that goes into presenting exhibitions at the Arts Center. The process of deinstalling first shift and installing second shift artworks begins July 22 and will be completed by August 17.
Clocking In: 2024 Arts/Industry Residents is supported by the Kohler Trust for Arts and Education, the Mellon Foundation, Ruth Foundation for the Arts, the Frederic Cornell Kohler Charitable Trust, Kohler Foundation, Inc., Acuity, and the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the State of Wisconsin and the National Endowment for the Arts.
