Saturday, August 17, 2024
12:00–4:00 p.m.
At the James Tellen Woodland Sculpture Garden
Free
Explore the fascinating artist-built environment created by James Tellen. During the 1940s and 50s, Tellen merged his love of nature and spirituality in a series of seventy-five concrete sculptures on his family’s property nestled in the woods just south of Sheboygan.
Stroll the grounds to view works such as Tellen’s Abraham Lincoln and his Saint Peter tableau. Walk through Tellen’s family cabin and brat haus. Arts Center Exhibitions, Collections staff, and docents will be on hand to provide information about stewardship of the site and sculptures.
This event is part of Wayside Days. Learn more here.
