This session will offer an up-close look at the extra-large-scale papier-mâché nachos made by recent artist-in-residence Justin Favela. During his residency, he collaborated with Arts Center visitors to create some of the components of the artwork. We will also enjoy the sounds, smells, and tastes of real nachos before beginning our own tissue paper art project.

SPARK! is a creative engagement program for people with memory loss and their caregivers. It is free to attend, and the activities differ each month. A session typically begins with a visit to one of the Arts Center’s exhibitions, followed by a hands-on activity or art project in the Social Studio. SPARK! is a safe environment in which people can be themselves and let their imaginations roam freely.

All activities are subject to change.
