Many of the artists in the Art Preserve, including Emery Blagdon, Nek Chand, and Dr. Charles Smith, sought healing through their artistic expression. In this spirit, join an instructor from Yoga on the Lake in an open space on the third floor of the Art Preserve for a yoga session to unwind, stretch, and get into the flow of JMKAC’s Community Day. The 30-minute yoga session (chair-free) from 11:15–11:45 a.m. will be followed by a sound bath meditation (45–60 mins) with Sevan Cat Ries.
Sevan Cat Ries will facilitate a meditative sound bath using sound bowls, koshi chimes, and other instruments. Visitors are invited to stay for as long as they wish, or to pass through to the activities happening outside. Whatever your impulse, please move through this space with consideration and quiet during that time.
Sevan Cat Ries, your sound facilitator for the day, is a musician, ritualist, spiritual guide, and relational counselor based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Learn more about Sevan Cat Ries: Starry Serpent
