EDM House

In Kevin Schmidt’s EDM House, the artist transforms a remote, abandoned British-Columbian homestead into a lone and eerie tribute to displacement and survival. Schmidt covered the house in an excess of holiday lights and set their on/off pattern to an electronic dance music soundtrack he composed. EDM House is a disorienting elegy to longing, hubris, and failure—evoked through a treadmill of a soundtrack that seemingly never ends.
