Flavia D’Urso: Who Do You Think I Am?!
Grounded in the intersection of physical, emotional, and cultural experiences of the queer female body, Flavia D’Urso’s multichannel video installation Who Do You Think I Am?! is a visceral meditation on disorientation and desire.
Within D’Urso’s immersive, womb-like space, abstraction and abjection intersect to create an experience that is both destabilizing and seductive. Ghostly, illegible, images and sounds—both human and animal—co-exist and meld in an intersectional space intended to feel leaky and alive, alluring yet grotesque.
