Milestones in the Making
In this exhibition, documents, photographs, artists’ sketches, and more offer a deep dive into the past, present, and future of the Arts Center’s collaboration with Kohler Co. More than five hundred artists-in-residence have participated in the innovative Arts/Industry residency program, creating new bodies of work in studios located in Kohler Co.’s factory. Through Arts/Industry alumni reflections and creations, the impact of Ruth DeYoung Kohler’s visionary program is evident.
Milestones in the Making is supported by the Kohler Trust for Arts and Education, Ruth Foundation for the Arts, the Mellon Foundation, the Frederic Cornell Kohler Charitable Trust, Kohler Foundation, Inc., and the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the State of Wisconsin and the National Endowment for the Arts.
