Objects from Barbara Rossi’s Home Collection and Selected Works
To deepen scholarship about our collection, temporary exhibitions will occasionally be mounted at the Art Preserve. This first installation, On Loan: Objects from Barbara Rossi’s Home Collection and Selected Works features a small selection of objects from artist Barbara Rossi’s collection, displayed as they were in her former Berwyn, Illinois, home. Accompanying this shelf arrangement are examples of her work: paintings, graphite drawings, and ten color studies for paintings.
As a student of Ray Yoshida, Rossi developed her own way of living and working with a variety of objects she collected and arranged.
